Technology Enhanced Learning Showcase Event for the School of Science & Technology

On the 31st March Rachel Fitzgerald, Learning Technology Manager from Information Services lead a showcase session on Technology Enhanced Learning using examples from within the School of Science and Technology. Details and some of the presentations can be found at: http://www2.northampton.ac.uk/learning-technology/learn-tech-home/showcase-events/applied-sciences


Presenters included:
Jonathan Adams discussing learning objects, illustrated with his work on produced learning objects for creativity and problem-solving with engineering students. Paul Cox  discussing the use of VLEs and other technologies for the delivery of distance learning material for waste management students. Learning and Teaching Development Day 31st March 2010

The School of Science and Technology held a staff development day specifically relating to teaching and learning on the 31st March 2010.


Dr John Butcher, Senior Academic Development Advisor from DeltaE (http://www.northampton.ac.uk/departments/learningteaching/) facilitated a session on assessment and feedback in the morning. There was also some examples of good feedback practice from within the school highlighted, at least one from each division.
